Hunan Beef

Hunan is a province in the south-central part of China known for its flavorful and aromatic cuisine.

Hunan Beef

1 lb tender beef, sliced into 1/8 inch thick slices
one crown of broccoli, separated into florets
one can of baby corn
one can of button mushrooms or straw mushrooms
1 tablespoon of cooking oil
1 clove of garlic, crushed
crushed red pepper
oyster sauce

Heat the oil in a wok or deep skillet until it almost starts to smoke. Add the garlic and fry until transparent. Add the sliced beef and stir until it is no longer red. Season with crushed red pepper. Add the broccoli, baby corn, and mushrooms and continue cooking for about 10 minutes. Finally, add several spoonfuls of oyster sauce and blend it with the cooked ingredients. Serve on top of steamed rice.
